Knot It Up, Real High

I love when a good and easy hair trend comes to life. For all you women who wake up to lazy to straighten or curl your hair, here's a look that can work for both work or a night on the town for drinks. Braid the first chunk of hair in the front above the forehead adn swoop up the rest in a messy bun look. Make sure to brush the sides so that it's not frizzy or too messy looking.

Black And Blue

I am usually not the biggest fan of black and blue as I have expressed in previous posts but when done correctly it can rock out! I like this look because of the contrast in the black and blue coloring as well as the difference in fabrics between coat and pocket. The splash of leather on the bottom pockets gives this coat a boost. Make sure when matching up black and blue that the blue be a lighter navy and let the contrast be in the black that stands out against the blue.

Leopards Run

I am loving the new print that has taken pretty much every article of clothing by storm. From underwear to pumps to short skirts to tanks, leopard is EVERYWHERE. At first I thought it was tacky, but when done right it can rock the socks off any fashionista. Beware of putting two different kinds of leopard prints together unless it comes as a dress. Since the article will probably be loud and "in your face" keep the accessories to a simplicity and tone down the shoes as well.

Just when you thought I forgot about you, Im bringing sexy back to your closets. You might find this weird at first but the truth is, as I have discussed in the past, mens fashion just isn't as exciting! IM SORRY! For all yall business men, the newest trend is flipped collars. No, you don't flip it yourselves, they come sold like that. Just an extra sexy touch to an oh so sexy look.

Take The Long Route

Ladies, do you ever wake up in the morning thinking; pants make me look bulky, I want a nice feminine touch to my look today. Well here you have it, no need for tights or leggings, just straight up Maxi dresses. Keeps you warm and makes you look as girly and conservative as you can be. You can snaz it up with a belt around the high waist or throw on a blazer or leather jacket for the cool morning breeze on your way to work.

I'm Singing In The Rain..

Hello Ladies! Winter is upon us, and its been a while since my latest post. Just when you thought the winter would never spring upon us, its time to whip out those rain boots. You heard me, rain boots are THE trend for this coming winter. The funkier the better. any pattern, color or picture works. Rock them with jeans or tights and a skirt.

Just when you thought your "school girl" days were over, out came the knee high socks trend. My favorite way to wear them is with heeled boots, sock showing at the top. But you can rock them in mary janes or even oxfords. Its a trend you can play around with and make your own.

They are everywhere and taking over the fashion world by enormous storm. Thats right, the Oxfords shoes are in and here to stay. They are an adorable look that make you look put together and classy. Pair em up with skinny jeans or printed tights and a short pencil skirt. The crazier the colors the better!

Shades For Decades

Its important to have the best pair of shades to dazzle up your look. These days, any pair works. Make them your own. I picked up these bad boys at the flea market on Sundays in LA. They are a bit scratched up at the top but makes them even more mysterious. And you know how intensely important it is for Israelis to rock the shades, because for them it is a form of expression and style. I believe it stems from their army years where their uniform is all that defined them and buying the sunglasses that suit you most was the only way of standing out.

Lets be honest, there is nothing cuter than an amazing stylish girl on a hot pink bike with a basket in front. Its my new ride. Trend of the year.

Fedora's for All

Urban Outfitters is by far, my new favorite store. Its like an affordable version of Anthropologie, kinda. In any case, they have amazing sales, and I walked in the other day to find a rockin sale and all these incredible fedora hats for 10$. I mean, what beats a fitted beige trench, boots and this adorable hat that flips up in the back with a bow holding it up.. perfection in a hat. Snatch any kind of wool fedora to handle those wintery cold nights.

Speak Your Mind

One of my favorite pieces of clothing are t-shirts. I love collecting adorably fitted t shirts with cute catchy sayings. I have collected some from all over the world. Today I went to the Annaberg Museum of Photography in LA, that had an exhibition on photographic journalism raising awareness of worldly conflicts. Freedom of speech is very important however some of the topics hit home for me. All the Israeli-Palestinian photographs that were shot were very pro Palestinian and portrayed the Israeli Defense Force in a very bad light. The way we can make a difference through fashion is to state how you feel and what better what then on a t-shirt. (This t-shirt is just a joke, but you get the point)

Hottest Accessory

If you think I am kidding then think again. This is no joking matter. Here in LA, coffee (to go) is an actual accessory. It adds a "I'm so laid back" feeling to your outfit. In Israel however, no only is coffee not cool to walk around with but its more of a downtime, to sit and drink hafuch at the local cafe. Here and in NY as well, coffee not only wake you up but looks adorable when your walking around. How weird? Not gonna lie, I kind of caught onto the trend. Bringing it back to with me to the holy land... so ladies, grab your cups cuz were goin for coff!

Lace It Up

Lace is sexy and taking over the fashion world by storm. Its always classy and chic. I am finding it all over stores from shirts, to tanks, to dresses, to bits and pieces on shirts. The good part is that you can dress it down or up. Whatever you please. Just scored two shirt with princess sleeve cut out with lace from H&M. The best would be to look through your mothers closet for her old lace things.

Bringing Sexy Bangs

Not only am I obsessed with Glee, but to top it off Rachel from the show's new hair style is one to blog about. Not gonna lie, I went out and got bangs and its great. Whole new look. Sometimes we need the smallest change in our hairstyle to brighten up our look. Try light highlights or side bangs or even a trim, you'll feel the difference in your look.

Chunky Monkey

Chunky necklaces are all the rave. They add an essence of elegance and style to so many outfits. The latest trend is huge chunky charms on a thin band or loops like below. With any LBD or white tee and jeans. Grab yours for really cheap at forever 21 or at Accessories in Israel.

All Rise For The Queen

Alexander McQueen was definitely the master of fashion. His styles were outrageous and breath taking. He was a fashion guru and there was nothing and no designer like him. He passed away in Feb. 2010 just around fashion week but his passion for fashion will live on forever. This is one of my favorite pieces of his, and this post is in memory of his awesomeness that he brought to the fashion world.

Sequin Your Life

Sequin is the hottest trend right now, whether it be shoes, bags, hats you will be seeing it all over the place. I just scored an adorable sequin hat in black amazing for spicing up every outfit. It's a little out there but if you have a regular plain peacoat jacket for the upcoming winter, grab a sequin bag or hat and add a little dazzle to your look.

Vintage in LA

So as most of you know, I am currently in LA and absolutely loving the fashion here. So different than Israel's European trends or New York's label loving trends, the bohemian, vintage looks are out of control. There is a flee market every Sunday off LA's hottest rocker road, Melrose that just screams old dresses, rusty jewellery and everything vintage. I snatched an adroable dress similar to the Olsen twin's look and lots of rockin rings and necklaces for under 20$. Bring vintage and bohemian styles to your closet but rummaging through those old sweaters and shopping at used clothing stores. Tip: wrap an old school belt around the stomach on any old dress or sweater to score some vintage points in your outfit.
